A wonderful little piece of San Diego history! This is a set of four consecutive vintage Del Mar Fair “Fair’s Fare” cookbooks from 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. Longtime San Diego locals will remember when it was simply the Del Mar Fair—and plenty of us still call it that. ❤️ These spiral-bound cookbooks are filled with prize-winning recipes from Del Mar Fair cooking contests, along with wonderfully nostalgic artwork, fair themes and other bits of early-’90s Southern California history. The set includes: * 1992 Fair’s Fare – Prize Winning Recipes * 1993 Fair’s Fare – Prize Winning Recipes * 1994 Fair’s Fare – Prize Winning Recipes * 1995 Fair’s Fare – Prize Winning Recipes The interiors are fantastic. There are pages devoted to individual fair cooking competitions—including things like the Wild West Cooking Contest and Construction Workers Lunch..and some of the original expired 1990s manufacturer coupons are even still inside. The 1995 edition identifies the books with the Southern California Exposition / 22nd District Agricultural Association and credits Ruth Aiau and Sheila Rose as compilers/editors. Condition: 1992–1994 are in remarkably nice condition for their age and appear very lightly used. The 1995 book has a small tear/damage at the back but is otherwise in nice vintage condition.
