Tales of Suspense #64, #65 and #66, three consecutive original Marvel Silver Age comics from 1965 featuring Iron Man and Captain America. A fantastic three-issue run with several important key appearances and stories. Tales of Suspense #64 features the first appearance of Black Widow in her new costume alongside an early Hawkeye appearance, with Hawkeye and Black Widow taking on Iron Man. Tales of Suspense #65 is an important Red Skull key, widely collected as the first Silver Age appearance of the Red Skull, alongside an Iron Man story featuring the new Iron Man armour battling the old. Tales of Suspense #66 continues the Red Skull storyline and features the origin of Johann Schmidt as the Red Skull. The Iron Man story also features an early appearance of Attuma. All three have excellent classic Silver Age cover artwork and retain strong colour and display appeal. My approximate grades using CGC-style grading standards are: Tales of Suspense #64: approximately 5.0 VG/FN Tales of Suspense #65: approximately 3.5 VG- Tales of Suspense #66: approximately 4.0 VG The comics show expected age and handling wear including spine and edge wear, creasing and older price markings, but remain attractive complete-looking examples with particularly nice Silver Age presentation.
