A year following the publication Arthur Robinson directed the first eponymous film version, followed by another in 1935, directed by John Ford, a cousin of the author's. First edition, first printing, number 37 of 150 copies, numbered signed by the author; 8vo; slight offsetting to endpapers, else unmarked internally; publisher's blue buckram, gilt lettering to spine, top edge gilt, a touch of sunning to spine and extremities, with the price-clipped pictorial dustjacket, spine very slightly faded, flaps and extremities slightly toned, mild edge-wear; a very good copy.
