This rare 1884 first edition of A History of Tasmania is highly prized by collectors because it is internally complete with its original folding map and all color plates of Tasmanian Aboriginal figures, which are frequently missing. Bound in custom contemporary half-calf leather with marbled edges, it carries excellent provenance from the prestigious Berkelouw Bookdealers of Sydney. Despite cosmetic wear to the spine, its clean interior makes this foundational work of early Australian history a scarce and valuable investment piece. this is one of the only few copies still exists with marble cover and map still intact it was valued at $700 in 2007 im asking for $890 for quick sale
