First edition, presentation copy, inscribed by Marion Morehouse to Cummings's French translator, David Jonathan Grossman: "To Jon and Anne Marie, Christmas greetings, Marion 1962". Loosely inserted is an autograph note from Morehouse to the Grossmans. The book also contains an invitation to Morehouse's memorial service with a personal inscription from Jere Knight (1907-1996) to the couple, an autograph note from Knight, and clippings of Morehouse's New York Times obituary. Knight acted as the personal representative for Cummings's estate after Morehouse's passing.
