A copy of Shojo Beat magazine #1 (360 pages from July 2005) signed by creator of the Nana manga, Ai Yazawa! Shojo Beat was a landmark anthology magazine combining hit shojo manga series from Japan with fashion, beauty and cultural articles. Magazine is in English with manga translated from original Japanese. The cover contains the autograph from Ai Yazawa (no additional verification available) as well as a 'congratulations' message. Also comes with Ai Yazawa 'Nana' plastic sleeve / sheet protector showing chibi versions of both Nana protagonists. Shojo Beat is packed with over 300 pages of manga (mostly black and white, some color splash pages) with over 100 pages of Nana, and first chapters from series like Godchild, Absolute Boyfriend, Kaze Hikaru, and Crimson Hero. Interview with Fushigi Yugi creator Yuu Watase. Magazine in good shape overall, though left side cover (non-spine) is rolled a bit (curls up).
