ALL ABOUT ALASKA AND THE KLONDIKE GOLD FIELDS A GRAND ILLUSTRATED KLONDIKE LECTURE ENTERTAINMENT [caption title and beginning of text]. A bold and attractive illustrated broadside offering entertainment and encouragement for potential comers to the Klondike Gold Rush. The large illustration at the center shows a prospector kneeling beside a stream panning for gold. The caption goes on to describe the details of the lecture, including "50 magnificent views, projected from the Magic Lantern" (depicting among others Dawson City, "The Steamboats, The Indians, The Miners, Sluice and Hydraulic Mining"), with the bottom portion containing empty blanks for price of admission, place, and date. This poster is filled out for a lecture to be given on Valentine's Day in Carson City, where they certainly would have been no strangers to the allure of mineral wealth. A handsome souvenir of the Klondike Gold Rush, a major incentive for the settlement of the territory and its economic development.
