The Great Chang and his partner Fak-Hong were some of the most famous magicians of their time. They toured Europe together in the 1920s and 1930s with the United Magicians troupe. This exciting group consisted of numerous unforgettable magicians and renowned performance groups. Chang was the stage name of Juan Pablo Jesorum, a native of Panama who learned magic as an assistant for The Great Raymond, known for 'Shooting A Bullet Through A Woman', an illusion also performed by Carter the Great. Fak Hong, also a western magician, was active with Chang. Neither magician was actually Asian, but at the time there was a public fascination with China.
