Jos. A Bluxome Co., Sixth Avenue, Corner of 21st Street, New York trade card featuring Father Christmas laden with gifts, holding a Christmas tree, with holly and red breasted robins at his feet. An attractive example of a trade card to advertise the Christmas commercial push. Bluzome Co., which was located in the area known as ‘Ladies Mile’ around 6th Street in New York, here advertises a number of things for the festive gift-giving season including dolls, novelties, leather goods, jewelry, bags, pocket books, cigar cases, folios, dog collars, and “a full line of stationery”. Small loss to one corner, a couple of creases, and light age-toning. A bright example of festive ephemera.
