First edition

The author of this contemporary (to the 1920s) nonfiction account of graft in business was a journalist notedly opposed to Franklin D. Roosevelt. A conservative, he was also an activist and a co-founder of the America First Committee (a decade after the publication of this book, and a cause he quickly abandoned after Pearl Harbor). Of a number of books that he wrote, this appears to be the only one that is scarce -- no copies to be found on the usual online sites, although it was reviewed at the time it was published. The ephemera found in this copy adds a little color to the contents.
