Oeuvres complètes. Deluxe edition, one of 600 copies, in superlative French bindings. The set is extra-illustrated with two contemporary suites after Boucher and Coypel. Both were etched by the portrait painter and engraver Tiburce de Mare (1840–1900), and include early-state impressions signed by him in pencil. Prepared for the Universal Exhibition of 1878, the edition was praised as a masterpiece of the Imprimerie Nationale's typography.Both suites of plates were printed by Beillet and published in Paris by Veuve L. Lefilleul in 1881. The Boucher suite is one of 300 sets on Hollande paper with the artists' names printed below the images, and includes supplementary portraits after Cochin. The Coypel suite includes impressions before lettering signed by de Mare in pencil.
