Atlas of the Heavens/Atlas Coeli 1950.0 by Antonin Becvar.1958 Reprint; only 4,500 copies printed. Measures approx. 23 inches x 16.5 inches. Includes 16 charts/maps and the original template. All pages are still present; they show some yellowing from age. I didn't see any creases or tears. The only writing I saw was a name and date on the first page. At some point in history (more than 30 years ago), water soaked into two corners of the box and it looks like it may have made contact with the outside cover. However, it's faint and the water did NOT make it to the inside of the book. Interesting Side Note: This was originally shipped to Robert H. Weitbrecht at the Stanford Research Institute. From what I found on Robert, he was a deaf physicist/electronics scientist and is credited with inventing the teletypewriter (TTY). The book later ended up being owned by my great-uncle, who was a deaf machinist that worked on the Atomic bomb, as well as an amateur astronomer. Please see photos for everything I described and feel free to ask questions!
