Condition Continued: There is no other writing to be found anywhere else of the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It's very clean. There are a few tiny scuffs off the top edge of the spine. There is one little tear off the rear covers top edge. The flaps are very clean, no tears, no conspicuous creasing. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. I have always had it in a fitted protective cover. Random House, New York, 1970. Hardcover in Dust Jacket. Stated First Edition (with Random House Number Line to 2-- the unique way they indicate a first edition). A Maddick Manuscripts Book. Sixteen pages of black and white photographs. From the dust jacket: 'Now, in The Open Man, his diary of the 1969-1970 NBA season, Dave DeBusschere tells the ultimate story of the New York Knicks. It is a perceptive, knowledgeable account of the team without a superstar that ran off eighteen consecutive victories, coasted to its divisional title, then overcame a crippling injury (to Willis Reed) to become the champions of the world.'
