Le Morte Darthur. The Book of King Arthur and of His Noble Knights of the Round Table. Limited edition, number 331 of 500 sets printed on handmade Riccardi paper. The illustrator recalled: "Medievalism was the vogue and when Lee Warner asked me to illustrate Malory's classic I leapt at the chance. The long tale is so rich in imagery, so stimulating and full of colour... The devotional magnificence gripped me" (Royal Academy, p. 43).For these illustrations, Flint (1880-1969) was awarded a silver medal at the 1912 Paris Salon.
