First edition

London : Cassell & Co., 1906. Uncommonly nice first edition, in which Crane transforms floral references from Shakespeare's plays into beautiful human figures. Near fine. Item #28055 Crane highlights quotes from Shakespeare's plays including Hamlet, A Winter's Tale, Richard III, Troilus and Cressida, As You Like It, and Much Ado About Nothing. This is an exceptionally well-preserved copy.
