A charming three-metre long panorama of the newly built railway and its viaducts through the Austrian town of Semmerling. The railway opened in 1854 and immediately boosted the town's tourism, especially for skiing, which still holds strong to this day. Second edition; lithographed folding panorama on card (size: 300 x 15.5 cm), descriptive captions in French and German; publisher's brown cloth, gilt lettering to upper board, a little rubbing to extremities, a very good copy; 15pp.
