From the outset, Bernd and Hilla Becher considered books and printed material as an important means of presenting their photographs and developing their ideas around the typological presentation of industrial buildings. This catalogue for Bernd and Hilla Becher's exhibition at the Moderna Museet, Stockholm, includes four grids, each comprising four photographs, of cooling towers, blast furnaces, mines, and water towers. It predates their key book Anonyme Skulpturen (1970) by a month.
