First edition

This is a historical Astronomy original 1877 full issue of Comptes Rendus. It was issued to commemorate the death of Le Verrier who discovered Neptune by virtue of his orbital predictions of where a new planet should be. This article contains some of his Neptune orbital data and is a tribute to his death. Very scarce document. It's a full issue of the periodical but short p725-p732. The document is tender from age but complete. It has two pinholes for binding thread which is not present now. Page have toning and some foxing as shown. No Major tears but the right page ends have some curl and damage as seen. A wonderful piece of history. It would make a good frame piece for an Astronomy collection as Le Verrier was a major figure.
