Delve into the horticultural extravaganza of 'The Temple of Flora' by Robert Thornton, a monumental work that celebrates the splendour of flora in a manner as lavish as its content. This edition, published by the Folio Society, is a treasure for both bibliophiles and botany enthusiasts. This offering includes the large book as well as a commentary book and a separate portfolio of 29 exquisite flower plates that illustrate the botanical wonders with unparalleled detail and artistry. Crafted with a keen eye for both the aesthetic and the scholarly, this is a limited release, making it a sought-after collectable. The text, presented in English, is complemented by the intricate illustrations, creating an immersive experience that explores the language of flowers and the harmony between nature and art. Minor markings only to the outer sleeve of the flower plates (see pictures), the plates and the rest of the items are in excellent condition and have never been read. Selling as a set. I have estimated the cost of international shipping but will amend that to the actual cost charged by Australia Post for any overseas destination.
