A variant of the fourth edition, bound in original medium green pebbled buckram cloth hard covers with beveled edges. Decorative stamped gilt front board; rear is blind-stamped the same (not gilt). All edges gilt; silver and green patterned coated endpapers. Hand-coloured title-page plus 10 hand-coloured plates (all are present). This is numbered #75 and signed by the author (Agnes Chamberlain). There are notes pencilled inside the book - inside the first fly page: "Special numbered edition - Evidently a wedding present to Anna Hamilton Jarvis(?) from Mary Agnes Fitz-Gibbon (of Fitz-Gibbon family to whom we are realted / daughter of the author of this book M.N.(e) 1934". Also a Miss Fitz Gibbon calling card pasted on the same page - "Oct 28 - 1894 - With love and best wishes Oct 28/97" - bottom of calling card reads "Park Lane Cottage - Southwold" - this residence is noted as a home of the Fitz Gibbon family. On page with No. 75 - signed Agnes Chamberlain "The ??? (can't read this word) - La Bayfield (sp?), Ontario 1895" Under that page frame is pencilled " Authograph of author of book and it's number". Pages are lightly toned - more so at edges. No foxing or damage inside. All ten plates are present. No loose pages. Binding is very good. Tissue for Yellow Lady Slipper missing - all others present . No color transfer to tissues. Bottom of spine has some fraying. Top also has some, but less so. Corners bumped and some scratches to color and light stains on covers. Overall a ve
