Endymion: A Poetic Romance. First edition, first issue, in the unrestored original boards. Endymion is the second of only three lifetime publications by Keats, comprising his longest single sustained poem, famous for its opening line: "A thing of beauty is a joy for ever". This copy has the first issue imprint on the half-title verso, "Printed by T. Miller, Noble Street, Cheapside". Hayward notes that the five-line errata slip, though present in later issues, was printed prior to publication. Copies in original boards are known to contain both it and the one-line erratum leaf, as here.
