This still-authoritative study was first published in December 1970 in Volume XXII, Numbers 1-4 of Al-Abhath: a Quarterly Journal for Arab Studies Published by the American University of Beirut.Copies of this rare work are found in only five institutions worldwide: Warburg Institute (University of London), American University of Beirut, Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Israel Museum, and SUB Hamburg. Born in 1941, Bikhazi has also published on religious history, and the Hamdanid dynasty. The recipient is untraced.
