John Sinjohn was the early pen name of the Nobel Prize-winning writer John Galsworthy; the pseudonym was abandoned the following year. First edition, sole impression, signed by the author; 8vo; scattered light spotting, predominantly to endpapers, library bookplate to front pastedown, ownership signature to front free endpaper; publisher's red cloth, black titles on a white ground to spine and upper cover, spine a little toned, cloth marked, corners and spine ends slightly rubbed, spine very slightly cocked, else very good; housed in custom maroon chemise and quarter maroon morocco gilt slipcase, lightly rubbed.
