Another one of my finds-from-the-vaults! Great book from 1978(!) 'Customizing vans' is a very hard to find, fascinating book on the boogie van/ custom van phenomenon from the 1970's! It covers all aspects of choosing, painting, modifying/customising & showing custom vans..so whether you're looking to relive your youth by building a recreation or you're an original vanner (like me!) or just a fan.. this book is for you! love the page that mentions the NEW transit (a mk2!) & I'm not sure how many of the dealers in the trade section are still trading nearly 50 yrs on! Inside, you will find helpful sections on the full build, including body repairs/mods, fitting port hole windows, interiors (including insulation & fitting panels), although guidance on gas/electrics is rather dated-IF BUILDING USING THIS BOOK ALWAYS USE PROFESSIONALS FOR THIS AREA!! Condition on this 48yr old book is very good BUT (as in the photos) there is a little browning to the dust jacket. Grab a rare find..there aren't many copies around, I'm selling another 70's style van book (see other items) but that is more pictorial than practical. Thanks for looking, KEEP ON TRUCKING! UK ONLY PLEASE! YOU BID/WIN=ITS YOURS! NO MESSERS!
