Eternal Moments. First and sole edition, rare in commerce, of a brief meditation on fleeting moments of beauty and intimacy penned by a Greenwich Village impresario.Guido Bruno introduced the work of Aubrey Beardsley to America, published Hart Crane and Djuna Barnes' first works, and staged The State Forbids, a pro-birth-control play. He was considered by many "a petty and disreputable profiteer in poetry and publishing" but also "without doubt one of the most fervent activists in the struggle against censorship in pre-Prohibition America" (Field, p. 14). In this slender volume, his sketches of street romance in 1920s New York are brought to life by Clara Tice, another Greenwich Village luminary.
