Last edition in this series (1900 -1929). The Austro-Hungarian Empire had disintegrated after World War I and this volume covers a much smaller area than previous editions. Parts of Hungary and Czechoslovakia are still included. Issued c.1931. Twelfth edition, lxiv, 518pp, 86 maps and plans and 2 panoramas, some very minor spotting on a couple of pages; publisher's original variant coarse-grained red cloth, gilt lettering slightly dull as usual; a very good copy.
