J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, Collector's Edition, published by Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston. All three volumes (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King) are complete in one volume of more than 1,200 pages. It is bound in red leatherette with gilt and blue-and-green stamped Tolkien designs on the front, back and spine. It has a sewn binding with a red and gold headband and comes in a matching red slipcase. The title page has runic and Tengwar borders. Christopher Tolkien's large fold-out map, The West of Middle-earth at the End of the Third Age, is tucked into a rear pocket. Included: book, matching slipcase and fold-out map. Details: Collector's Edition, 25th printing (HWK 33–25 number line). ISBN 0-395-19395-8. Printed in the USA. Condition: Appears unread, with clean pages and a tight binding. There is slight compression at the bottom of the spine. The slipcase is very good, with light rub marks on its interior lining. Please see photos.
