A beautifully detailed illuminated manuscript-style page, presented in a gold-coloured frame with layered mounts. Featuring elegant Gothic lettering, a large decorative initial in blue and gold tones, red rubrication and delicate floral ornamentation. A handwritten inscription on the reverse reads: “Flemish Horae c.1450 / MS 1624” This suggests a possible origin in a 15th-century Flemish Book of Hours — a medieval devotional prayer book.
