The Poems and Sonnets. First Overbrook edition, first printing, one of 150 copies. Frank Altschul (1887-1981), a banker, philanthropist, and rare book collector, founded the private press Overbrook in 1934 on his Connecticut estate. It "specialized in exquisitely printed... limited edition books for collectors," of which this elegant folio is an excellent example (New York Times obituary).
