Mount Analogue. First edition in English. Daumal's allegorical adventure, first published in French in 1952, was an inspiration for Alejandro Jodorowsky's cult film, The Holy Mountain (1973).An avant-garde poet, Daumal (1908-1944) was an ardent spiritualist and a practitioner of pataphysics. He died before completing Mount Analogue, leaving it unfinished in the middle of Chapter 5; it was concluded and published by his wife, Véra.
