A Christmas Memory. First standalone edition, signed limited issue, number 202 of 600 copies signed by the author, printed on handmade paper and specially bound. Capote wrote this Christmas story for Mademoiselle magazine in December 1956 as a fictionalized reminiscence of his childhood experiences of the holidays. It became immediately popular as a seasonal classic, inspiring television shows, radio broadcasts, and musicals.This publication was also Capote's first Christmas gift book. He continued the tradition with The Thanksgiving Visitor (1968) and One Christmas (1983).
