Iron Man. First edition. This boxing novel was the author's second book. It became both a Book of the Month Club selection, and a motion picture in 1931, starring Lew Ayres and Jean Harlow. The powerful Art Deco cover was designed by the artist Edna Reindel (1894-1990). She also collaborated with Burnett on Saint Johnson, published the same year.Provenance: the collection of Steve Forbes, chairman of Forbes Magazine, and presidential candidate in the 1996 and 2000 US elections.
