Lot of six Easton Press volumes from The 100 Greatest Books Ever Written series. Includes The Aeneid by Virgil, The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray, Fathers and Sons by Ivan Turgenev, and The Red and the Black by Stendhal. Published by Easton Press as collector’s editions bound in genuine leather, with gilt page edges, decorative gilt stamping, raised spine bands, moiré endpapers, and ribbon markers. Condition: Very good overall, with clean, attractive leather bindings, bright gilt decoration, moiré endpapers, ribbon markers, and gilt page edges. Some light rubbing/scuffing to gilt edges and minor shelfwear from storage. Wuthering Heights appears especially tight and likely unread or barely opened. Aenid has previous owner's embossed stamp and bookplate has been pasted in Fathers and Sons, but not marked. Bump on gilt edge of The Red and The Black. Please review photos for exact condition.
