AGATHA CHRISTIE - SO MANY STEPS TO DEATH (published in the UK as "Destination Unknown"), published by Dodd Mead, copyright 1955, First Printing (no references to subsequent printings, lists to "A Pocket Full Of Rye" to left of title page), white endpapers, orange boards with black lettering to spine & front board, $2.75 price on DJ front flap. RARE TRUE 1ST TRADE EDITION (there was no book club edition published under this title). Book has no former owner or used bookstore markings/stamps inside, scotch tape outline marks to front endpaper otherwise clean endpapers, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight dust soiling/age darkening to outer page edges, tight pages with several creased page corners, no wear to board edges, board corners, hint of wear to spine tips (common defect with these 1950s "sprayed-on" colored boards), no soiling or staining to boards, tiny bumped board corner. Dust jacket has couple of creases otherwise no chipping or tearing or creasing, hint of wear to spine tips, almost no wear to front flap crease, NO fading to spine lettering (common defect with this DJ - usually the title lettering is found completely faded), no dust rubbing to white panels, almost no soiling or staining. Overall a FINE- book in FINE- dust jacket (not price clipped) of a rare 1950s era Agatha Christie 1st printing.
