Les Oeuvres. Revuës, corrigées & augmentées. A handsomely bound set of the first Toulouse editions of Molière's works, long held by the Comédie Française to offer the best rendition of his texts. The Toulouse editions largely reproduce the Parisian editions of 1682, published nine years after the great playwright's death; volumes VII & VIII are dedicated to his posthumous works. Lacroix notes that an engraved portrait frontispiece is present in some copies of Volume I, but lacking in most, as here.
