God Emperor of Dune – Frank Herbert – 1981 First Edition, First Printing – Signed & Inscribed Hardcover Very clean, well-preserved 1981 first edition, first printing hardcover copy of God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert, published by G. P. Putnam’s Sons, complete with the original $12.95 dust jacket. Personally inscribed “For Ted” and signed by Frank Herbert on the title page. The book also bears a private library blind emboss with the initials “TJK,” belonging to the same Ted to whom Herbert inscribed the book. The hardcover itself is in excellent condition, with clean black cloth boards and a strong, tight binding. The spine remains exceptionally crisp and firm, with no visible signs of the flexing or loosening typically associated with repeated reading. The book gives the impression of having been very lightly handled, if read at all. Interior pages are very clean with light age-related toning. The original dust jacket is in very good condition, showing light shelf wear, minor edge rubbing, small areas of surface color loss, and a few light creases. No major damage is visible in the photographs. A small handwritten date, “7-6-82,” appears along the upper edge of the inside front cover. Overall, a very attractive, well-preserved copy of this collectible Frank Herbert novel, made especially desirable by the personal inscription and signature. Signature has not been independently authenticated. Please examine all photographs for a detailed look at condition. Please message m
