A lovely volume comprising both the Hawaiian and English language editions of these laws. Among the “[i]mportant acts passed at this session of the legislature include the confirmation of the grant of a ‘Charter to the Hawaiian Steam Navigation Company’; ‘An Act for the encouragement and support of English schools for Hawaiian Youth’; an act ‘to provide for the dissolution of the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles’; and an act providing for compulsory vaccination throughout the Hawaiian Islands” (Forbes). OCLC locates a single copy of the Hawaiian edition at the University of Michigan Law Library and of the English edition copies at Yale, Minnesota, Case Western, and Oxford. Forbes adds the Hawaiian State Archives, Hawaiian Mission Children’s Society and the Bishop Museum for both titles. Plus the Hawaiian Historical Society for the former. Forbes, 2007 and 2008 .
