AGATHA CHRISTIE - THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD, published by Grosset & Dunlap, copyright 1926, circa 1939/1940 Printing (Dodd Mead sold the printing plates to Grosset & Dunlap - based upon the "Madison Square" references to the rear panel and no WWII conditions notices on the title page), off-white endpapers, black cloth boards with orange lettering to spine & front panel (same thickness/board formatting as on the Dodd Mead 1st edition). Book has no creased page corners (poor paper quality), no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges, no wear to board edges or board corner or to spine tips, no spine fading, no rubbing to spine lettering, no dust/handling soiling to boards & spine, no bumped board corners. Dust jacket has nick loss with related tiny crease at top right on spine otherwise no chipping, tearing or creasing, slight wear to spine tips, hint of wear to front flap crease, almost no edge wear, no color wear to left/right of spine, no color rubbing to front panel, slight dust rubbing to white rear panel, no soiling or staining, just a hint of spine sun fading (common defect with this DJ). Overall a N-FINE book in VG+/FINE- condition dust jacket (not price clipped) of rare late 1930s era Agatha Christie printing book with original dust jacket. I have a number of other U.K. and U.S. Agatha Christie 1st printing hardcover books up for auction on eba
