The subjects are identified by canton beneath the image and include costumes from all the great regions and cities of Switzerland, such as Bern, Zurich, Lucerne, Glarus, Zug, Freyburg, Basel, and more. 8vo, engraved throughout with title 21 hand-coloured aquatint plates, tissue-guards, occasional foxing to guards, contemporary ink signature to front free endpaper, contemporary paste-paper boards, a little rubbed, rebacked and cornered in morocco, red morocco label, a very good copy.
