A commemorative album produced on the occasion of Crown Prince Yoshihito’s visit (the future Taisho Emperor) to the Sapporo breweries in August 1911. It shows the beer production and bottling facilities in Sapporo, namely the three factories of Yebisu, Sapporo and Asahi beer (they were renamed Osaka brewery in 1893). Yebisu, Sapporo and Osaka Beer had merged in 1906 to form the Great Japan Beer Company which also became known as the ‘King of Eastern Beer’. This album was printed for the dignitaries who attended the visit and it was not for sale. Very rare. Only one copy in OCLC (National Diet Library.
