Eggleston made these photographs during the early 1970s using a large-format 5 x 7 camera. They include portraits, streetscapes, and interiors that are typical of much of his work. They also include previously unpublished photographs taken in some of the nightclubs Eggleston frequented. The laid-in poster is for Stranded in Canton, a film by Willian Eggleston, and William Eggleston in the Real World, a film by Michael Almereyda. First edition; folio (355 x 265 mm, 14 x 10½ in); black-and-white and colour photographs printed in offset, light toning to edges; black endpapers, green cloth-covered boards, titles stamped in black on spine, white photo-illustrated dust-jacket, lower panel lightly toned and marked, lightly worn double-sided poster laid in, near-fine; [120]pp.
