The editor states inside, "in addition to supplying hundreds of cover sketches and ideas to [Marvel and DC] over the past few years, Ed has drawn some of the most visually exciting and different covers to appear on comic books in years".Hannigan's sketch is completed by Klaus Janson, inker and colourist for Marvel and DC. Janson has won multiple awards, including the 1987 Kirby Award, sponsored by Amazing Heroes, for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #1. He has also won three Harvey Awards for Best Inker, in 2010 for The Amazing Spider-Man, in 2013 for Captain America, and in 2016 for The Dark Knight III: The Master Race.Amazing Heroes magazine offered commentary on comic books from June 1981 to July 1992, running for 204 issues. It won the Eagle Award for Favourite Speciality Comics Publication for four years in a row between 1985 and 1988.
