An atmospheric original drawing by Irina Valerianova Stenberg (1905-1985) the Soviet-Jewish artist, who lived and worked in Tbilisi, Georgia. She was known for her drawings of everyday life in the 1920s and for her theatre drawings and costume designs for the Griboyedov Theatre. Graphite watercolour on paper (42.8 x 36 cm); signed bottom right, signed titled on verso in blue ink, by the artist; small closed tear to upper right corner.
