Harriet Monroe's copy Harriet Monroe's copy with a booksller's note to that effect on the front free endpaper and more importantly three notes in her hand to the rear endpaper. Further to these in the upper margin of the contents leaf she writes, '3/4 or more are in Poetry'. Monroe was, of course the publisher of Poetry. A lovely association. Second edition (abridged) [i.e. the first trade edition, sole printing], Harriet Monroe's copy; 8vo; page stock rather tanned and slightly spotted as usual; publisher's natual linen, titles to upper board and spine in blue, top edge trimmed others uncut, binding somewhat rubbed and darkened; very good.
