The author’s second novel, with intriguing jacket artwork by Edward Bawden (1903-89) one of the most influential artists of his generation; hard to find in good condition. Contemporary ownership inscription on front pastedown, old reinforcements to inside of dust jacket at spine-ends and one corner, 3 small closed tears, some slight edge-wear to extremities with a couple of minor marks, otherwise a very good copy.
