illustrated account of a pilgrimage to mecca A personal account of Kedem Zadeh's pilgrimage to Mecca between 1910 and 1911 illustrated with 16 photographic plates of his travels. Illustrations include the tomb of the Emir of Hamza in Medina, the walls of Medina and the port of Anberi, a panorama of Mecca and the Kaaba, and the gates of the Masjid al-Haram among other views. Exceptionally rare with only two institutional holdings in the UK, the University of Birmingham Libraries and the University of Glasgow Library, and no other copies available commercially. First edition; 8vo, 84 pp., 16 photographic plates, single worm-hole to lower margin of second half (not affecting text), edges a little darkened, contemporary morocco-backed marble boards, original upper wrapper bound-in, a very good copy. 250 x 165mm (9¾ x 6½ inches).
