The second published article by the Nobel Prize winning economist Leonid Hurwicz, with the publisher’s presentation stamp to the front cover. Originally published in the journal Econometrica earlier in the same year, in which Hurwicz sought to provide ‘a general theory of entrepreneurial behaviour’ in part to resolve ‘some of the most fundamental controversies in the theory of economic fluctuations’. Hurwicz was awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize in Economic Science ‘for having laid the foundations of mechanism design theory’.
