First edition, 48 original fascicles, 8vo, comprising all that had been completed up to the time of Stephens' death, i.e. parts of the letters A, B, G, and O, all in original wrappers, chipped, but generally good or better throughout. The work was not completed until 1955. A very detailed dictionary and etymological history of the Dutch language. Zaunmuller notes that the first volume of the book edition was published in 1882.
