Making Cocoa for Kingsley Amis [and] Serious Concerns. First editions, a dedication copy of Serious Concerns, inscribed by Cope on the title page to the poet Simon Rae: "To Simon, love Wendy, 28th February 1992". Rae is the dedicatee of the poem "The Cricketing Versions", printed on pages 37-8. Cope has also hand-corrected two lines of "The New Regime" (p. 18) in pencil.Loosely inserted is a clipping of the poem and a post-it note inscribed by Cope, "See you Friday. Love W". Rae later re-presented the book, inscribed on the front free endpaper, "For Caroline, with best wishes, Simon". The book is offered together with a copy of Making Cocoa signed by Cope on the title page.
