William Dawson Hooker (1816-1840), physician and botanist, undertook a journey to northern Norway in 1836, to study the flora and fauna and local customs. He was the son of Sir William Jackson Hooker, botanist and Director of Kew Gardens. Second edition, inscribed by the author; 8vo (22 x 14 cm); 4 lithograph plates, occasional light browning, small marginal damp stain to plates; original brown coated wrappers, spine worn, a good copy; 123 pp.
